Welcome to Katwomen, Inc…. or KWI for short.

So you may be wondering what is Katwomen and what’s its purpose?
All good questions….

First, let’s start with our vision. It’s our vision to unify the court reporting profession by linking it with common commical “insider” puns, jokes, play on words, etc. We all know there are people diligently working to destroy what current and past court reporters have worked so hard to build. And it’s important that we stand as a unified front.

Katwomen is the creation of fellow court reporter Martha Cantly. Martha thought it important to bring the profession together much like a sorority or fraternity. Studies have shown instant rapport is created when people share a common bond. Martha says, “Walking down the street, you would never know who is or is not a court reporter. But if you see a Katwomen shirt or maybe wording that has to do with that profession, those two people, who don’t know each other, may become instant friends because they both share a commom bond-court reporting.”

Martha Cantly:

Martha Cantly is the creator and founder of KatWomen, Inc. She is CSR Certified in Texas, and RPR Certified nationally. Martha is also a member of the Texas Court Reporters Association and the National Court Reporters Association.

Martha Cantly has worked for two highly respected and experienced Judges in two different counties. Under the oversight of those two accomplished Judges, Martha has transcribed literally hundreds of cases from minor misdemeanors to the most serious of felonies.

In the year of 2003 Martha launched Katwomen Court Reporting Firm, a court-reporting firm that contracts their services to various courts and attorneys that are in need of a qualified and certified court reporter.

In 2007 Martha Cantly began providing closed-captioned reporting through Caption Colorado. After nearly a decade in the court reporting profession, Cantly has chosen to step-out on and attempt to share her passion about court reporting with the world. KatWomen, Inc. is an expression of that passion that she hopes will unify court reporters alike worldwide.
